Ashton Core

Specialty Fabricating Co. is responsible for the steel that was provided for the recent Ashton renovation. All of the handrails, exterior canopies, internal wall rails, stairs, and the interior framing of the build was all done at our facility. All the interior pipe rails were done with the DRAGON Pipe Cutter providing beautiful and natural looking rails. Hundreds of hours were put into the care of this project to make it the best it could be. Going above and beyond to make every detail stand out.

We use our CNC plasma table to cut precise passthroughs for square picket material, creating a cleaner, more professional look for railing systems and custom fabrications. By automating this process, we ensure that each hole is accurately placed and sized, allowing the pickets to fit seamlessly through the material. This not only improves the overall appearance—resulting in cleaner welds, tighter joints, and a polished, high-end finish.

Keep it simple

Corten, also known as weathering steel, was requested for visually striking pieces that evolve beautifully over time. Known for its natural rust-like appearance, Corten develops a stable, protective patina when exposed to the elements, making it ideal for artistic installations.

any material is manageable

In the final stages, we fabricated these awnings entirely in-house, cutting 1/2” plate on our plasma table and using the Dragon A400 to precisely process the 4” x 3 1/2” angle frames. Each awning was built as a single, cohesive section for strength and clean installation. The end result is a sleek, modern design that stands out visually without overwhelming the space—a perfect balance of form and function.
