Specialty Fabricating Co. was founded in 1997 by Art Venteicher and his son, Gerry, in Omaha, Nebraska. What began as a creative pursuit in metal artwork quickly evolved into something greater. After experimenting with custom spiral staircases and residential handrails, they discovered a strong need in the market for high-quality railings and miscellaneous metals—and Specialty Fabricating Co. was born.

What We Do

We specialize in Structural and Miscellaneous Steel fabrication, producing reliable, precision-built components like railings, stairs, beams, columns, and more. We’re proud to work closely with many of the top general contractors in the Omaha area, supporting a wide range of commercial and industrial projects with trusted results.

Our Story

Over the years, Specialty Fabricating Co. has grown into a multi-generational operation. In 2020, Gerry’s son, Harrison, officially joined the team—making us a proud three-generation family business with a shared passion for steel, service, and craftsmanship.

That same year, we expanded our production capabilities with the addition of a Dragon A400 CNC pipe cutter and, soon after, a high-definition plasma table. Between 2022 and 2024, we completed our largest structural job to date: the Lord of Hosts Church in Omaha.

Our work can now be found throughout Omaha and as far south as Oklahoma. Through it all, we’ve stayed true to what got us here—problem-solving, character, and an unwavering drive for excellence.
